POLITICAL MONOPOLY

Will bureaucrats and politicians use the 2nd Amendment to quell the 1st Amendment?—

Oklahoma lawmakers had passed a new measure stiffening penalties for protesters who block roadways and granting immunity to drivers who unintentionally hit them. The state NAACP, saying the law was passed in response to racial justice demonstrations and could chill the exercising of First Amendment rights, filed a federal lawsuit challenging portions of it. But the new law was only weeks from taking effect. That palpable sense that something bad will happen isn’t confined to Oklahoma. Far from it. The law worrying Crutcher is just one of dozens of statutes restricting the right to protest that have been enacted around the country since 2017, and many more are pending. –end of publicintegrity info–

Meanwhile in NYS—–***The Southern Tier of NYS does seem to be a hotbed of responsible citizens, and this seems troubling to some people—https://www.binghamtonhomepage.com/news/local-protest-groups-speak-out-against-new-criminal-justice-legislation-put-forth-by-the-sheriff/–One would change the charge of Resisting Arrest from a misdemeanor to a felony, that could not be reduced by plea bargaining, and would allow a judge to require the posting of bail. The other would make Failure to Retreat a felony, meaning anyone who intrudes on an officer in a confrontation could be arrested.Sheriff Dave Harder says he doesn’t understand why some people have a problem with the legislation.“This Citizens for Action group, I don’t know where they are coming from. They want everything their way only. Nobody else can protest or have a say. Same thing with PLOT. If you don’t agree with PLOT, then you’re all wrong. It’s like a dictatorship with those two groups. If you don’t speak the way they want you to, then you’re wrong,” says Harder.–end of binghamtonhomepage info–As one supporting non-violence toward police officers, and protection for these civil servants as they perform a much-needed service to the community, one also recognizes a troubling sub-set of law enforcement issues as expressed above, and also the following—-https://www.npr.org/2021/01/15/956896923/police-officers-across-nation-face-federal-charges-for-involvement-in-capitol-ri–Nearly 30 sworn police officers from a dozen departments attended the pro-Trump rally at the U.S. Capitol last week, and several stormed the building with rioters and are facing federal criminal charges as well as possible expulsion or other discipline.–end of npr info–Fascism is a growing concern.  Harder speaks to an ostensible “dictatorship by citizens”.  Mull this over in your thoughts.  What precisely does this mean?***https://www.northcountrypublicradio.org/news/story/22532/20130814/will-upstate-ny-cops-sheriffs-enforce-gun-control-laws***A number of private gun owners have been shot by law enforcement.  One prefers that law enforcement are not injured, but wouldn’t enhanced gun laws help?ehttps://www.binghamtonhomepage.com/news/local-protest-groups-speak-out-against-new-criminal-justice-legislation-put-forth-by-the-sheriff/    —

Not only are they creating a false problem, but they’re not even considering the real problem,” says Pragacz.–end of binghamtonhomepage info–
Finding information about legislative demands from law enforcement in NYS seem to have been scrubbed off of search engines.  One must dig deep.
C-Span was interesting this morning about relevant topics  —  https://www.c-span.org/         —

–end of c-span info–
One heard imperfectly this morning the commentator on C-Span say (paraphrase) manchin didn’t trust poor parents to use government tax credits wisely, so I researched this—-
https://newsconcerns.com/joe-manchin-privately-told-colleagues-parents-use-child-tax-credit-money-on-drugs/    –Publicly, his biggest gripes are about the cost of the bill. But privately, Manchin has told his colleagues that he essentially doesn’t trust low-income people to spend government money wisely. In recent months, Manchin has told several of his fellow Democrats that he thought parents would waste monthly child tax credit payments on drugs instead of providing for their children, according to two sources familiar with the senator’s comments.–end of newsconcerns info–
Would Manchin approve of other use of child tax credits such as, for example, purchase of coal industry stock?  The arrogance of those who have attained supremacy in our Pyramid Scheme economy is revolting.  And by the way, define drugs?  Would that include the pharmaceutical opioids that are responsible for numerous deaths of American citizens?  Would that include purchase of marijuana that has been reported as beneficial on a medicinal level?
Is the only so-called wise use of child tax credits that which is used to promote the well-being of capitalistic hierarchical Establishment that buoys characters like Manchin and most other Democratic/Republican duopoly politicians?
The C-Span segment on voter rights was uncomfortably staged between a pro-Democratic and a pro-Republican representation.  Considering that the capitalistic-owned Republican/Democratic duopoly is about the task of censoring 3rd-Party views and no-Party views, FACTually this was a display of the personification of voter suppression.  Yet the commentator presented this show with a straight face while callers played their part by defending either of the Republican view or the Republican view as both were a smoke screen to censor 3rd or no Party views.  Slick.
Cynicism may be multiplied after voting in the deeply questionable NYS District 22 election that endowed us with a Congressperson Tenney after a long and painful vote count.
https://www.syracuse.com/politics/2021/03/us-department-of-justice-oneida-county-violated-voter-rights-in-ny-22-election.html   –Washington – The U.S. Department of Justice has determined that Oneida County violated voter rights in last year’s election between Anthony Brindisi and Claudia Tenney in the 22nd Congressional District, according to a letter to the county from federal authorities.A top Justice Department official notified the county Tuesday that the federal government plans to file a civil lawsuit over violations that disenfranchised voters in the election, according to a copy of the letter reviewed by syracuse.com | The Post-Standard.–end of syracuse info–
That NYS is also the arena for the Sheriff Association to demand a crack-down on those they label as “activists” at the same time they refuse to act on Safe Act laws for responsible and transparent gun ownership, but where a growing number of private citizen gun owners have been shot dead by law enforcement is of interest.  Without implying that law enforcement shouldn’t protect themselves against errant gun owners, one challenges the presumption that other private citizens who choose not to be gun toting, must comply to intimidation by the gun owners that apparently frighten armed law enforcement into action, seems to ask too much of the general public.
Finally on the C-Span discussion about voting rights at 10:44AM, a caller said (paraphrase) mail-in voting often results in a vote cast before the official debate.  Is that the debate sponsored by the Democratic/Republican duopoly that excludes inclusion of candidates other than those chosen by the 1 Party D&R duopoly?
On 12/21/2021, this afternoon C-Span carried the Congressional hearing on the topic of monopolies and competition.  The discussion from politicians is dignified and informed, as they blissfully pretend their own position isn’t based on lack of competition due to monopolization of politics in the USA that in other nations could suffer US intervention due to charges of dictatorial control while said USA speaks of “spreading democracy around the globe”.

Comment about “upending natural Earth Rhythm” has a distinctly Natural Way sound.  –https://darksky.salsalabs.org/unveilthenight6?wvpId=5ef00d88-49f8-4d98-ae87-44ce51528bf0 –Today, Tuesday, December 21st, is the solstice, a time of celebration for many worldwide. For millennia, people have used the night sky as their calendar. It marks the passage of the seasons, the monthly phases of the moon, and the daily cycle of day and night. However, in the last 100 years, we have upended the Earth’s natural rhythms in our race to light the night. In doing so, we are disconnecting ourselves from nature.–end of darksky info–
Those following a Natural Way also have expressed concern about the spreading 5G anomaly.  Dangers from this system are ignored possibly to our detriment—https://www.actu-environnement.com/media/pdf/news-29640-appel-scientifiques-5g.pdfOver 220 scientists from more than 40 countries have expressed their “serious concerns” regarding the ubiquitous and increasing exposure to EMF generated by electric and wireless devices already before the additional 5G roll-out. They refer to the fact that ”numerous recent scientific publications have shown that EMF affects living organisms at levels well below most international and national guidelines”. Effects include increased cancer risk, cellular stress, increase in harmful free radicals, genetic damages, structural and functional changes of the reproductive system, learning and memory deficits, neurological disorders, and negative impacts on general well-being in humans. Damage goes well beyond the human race, as there is growing evidence of harmful effects to both plants and animals–end of aclu-environnement info–

The politically-influenced-corporate-owned MSM have ignored warnings about the 5G system as it relates to people and wildlife, but come alive about problems with air flight—-https://www.macobserver.com/news/faa-plans-restrictions-5g/         –A new 5G wireless service is set to go live on January 5, and the FAA wants airlines for potential disruption to cockpit safety systems. These systems are responsible for helping pilots land in bad weather and avoid midair collisions. The directive outlined potential restrictions on landing in bad weather in up to 46 of the largest metropolitan areas in the U.S. Regulators are analyzing these areas to figure out where 5G signals could interfere with airplanes.–end of macobserver info–
One could say that government agencies see people and wildlife as collateral damage in a progress defined in terms of privilege, greed, and exploitation.

WITHDRAWS SUPPORT FROM FINAL PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE–end of lwv info–Murray Bookchin, who founded social ecology, a theory that strongly influenced early Green Socialist thought, strongly advocated the discussion and study group as the first step of any revolutionary movement. A group of individuals meets to expand their knowledge of radical thought and form a radical intellectual community; through the give and take of discussion, can eventually form ideas for next steps in organizing and political activity. According to Bookchin, study groups help create solidarity and a shared language — with a shared coherent vision — for building a mass, organizing, political movement!
Along with Climate Change, many people oppose the imperialism of the USA under control of the Republican/Democratic duopoly.  Use of the wealth of our nation should be to enhance quality of life for We The People rather than for imperialism.  Some people vote accordingly.I———————–That “we are a 2-Party system” is a fabrication of the Republican/Democratic duopoly and spread by MSM.  In FACT the majority of voters aren’t either registered Democratic or Republican.  The censorship about this info must be envied by bureaucrats of the Former USSR and their simplistic style of 1-Party elections.

Regardless of which character sits in the Oval Office, We The People have work to do to maintain principles of our democratic (small d) Constitutional republic.  Several items to challenge—*We need the integrity of ranked-choice voting so voters won’t feel compelled to “hold your nose and vote”*Censored debates must be stopped.  The Democratic/Republican duopoly pretends to legitimate debates in what is nothing other than another campaign show.  Independent debates run by uninterested sponsors such as The League of Women Voters, must be restored.  (Access www.debates.org to understand the extent of duopoly control).  The so-called Debate Commission is a corporation to promote the Democratic corporation and Republican corporation, not to inform We The People*Challenge and stop gerrymandering that is a trick especially of the Republican branch of the duopoly.*Stop voter suppression by political Parties, and especially confront and stop Party suppression, which is the over-arching approach to voter suppression.  Party suppression seems to have been the responsibility of the Democratic corporation*Promote by law ranked-choice voting, so we won’t be told again, by D&R duopoly, to “hold your nose and vote”
If these issues are handled, our next elections can be honorable.
