One checked into MSNBC Saturday evening long enough to appreciate the review of the book written by Joy Reid about  Medgar Evers.  The point of interest was acknowledgement that even in the pro-civil-rights years of the ’30’s and ’40’s when some people sacrificed so much for the rest of us, also extant were so many who were offended by those “rocking the boat”, who didn’t wish to raise the ire of hierarchical Establishment due to their personal success economically speaking.

Seemingly not much has changed, as we watch a deluded community complaining over the oligarchical corruption, but not too loudly, in order to avoid losing their privileged position and economic benefits.  Ms. Reid needn’t look too far to find examples.  The entertainment industry is rife with the type.  Ratings mean money.

MSM could gain acknowledgement as a legitimate source of transparency by once in a while mentioning whistleblower and journalist Julian Assange.  Doing so could mitigate the perception of ignoring justice in order to placate capitalistic hierarchical Establishment.

Who is Julian Assange? Will he be extradited to the US?– WikiLeaks caused a diplomatic storm after it published a huge cache of secret military files in 2010 and 2011. Washington wants to try him for the leaks that it says damaged its national security.
