Resident calls for better transparency when it comes to Broome County’s corporate park proposal

TOWN OF MAINE (WBNG) — During a February Town of Maine public hearing to address the proposal for a corporate park, the board voted down the rezoning of the acres in question to the Industrial Zoning District.

Though the topic wasn’t on the April 16 agenda, longtime resident Bob Utter spoke during public comment about concerns with transparency on the project, its money and actions by Town Supervisor James Tokos.

Back in July of 2023, using FOIL requests, Utter said he found out Tokos “signed a letter to the IDA giving them approval for that money, but he did not tell the board.” To prove various points related to the project, Utter handed out a timeline of documentation packet dating from May 2021 to March of 2024.

“The letter was done before the residents really had stepped forward. It’s a letter that’s supporting that Fast Grant (FAST NY Grant) which was for the research of the project, not to support the project,” said Tokos. “And again, hindsight is the best sight as I already stated. If I had to do it now, I would have not done it.”

Workers in the trades rally against tax fraud  –

Council Representative with the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, Ian Williams says, “Workers are performing work for a specific contractor, but they’re being given a 10-99 so they have to file their own taxes. And they’re being considered an independent contractor or independent subcontractor. That means that the contractor that subcontracted them the work does not have to take care of any workman’s compensation insurances, unemployment insurance.”

He says often times, workers are paid with cash, under the table, and not fairly compensated for their overtime work.–end of carpenter protest—-

Protestors say the rich should be taxed more during downtown demonstration  –

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — Protestors from Citizen Action New York and Indivisible Binghamton stood out by the Metro Center on Court Street on Monday afternoon to protest what they said is Congressman Marc Molinaro’s unwillingness to tax the rich.

Community Organizer for Citizen Action New York Ravo Root said corporations do not pay their fair share in taxes and alleged Molinaro enables this inequality.

“The one percent holds $44.6 trillion in wealth and much of that is actually untaxed,” Root said. “So, there’s many corporations that don’t pay nearly anything in taxes.”

Indivisible Binghamton co-chair Linda Quilty argued taxes on the wealthy should be increased and that money should go to services such as childcare, healthcare, social security, veteran services, and more.–end of workers protest—-

The Southern Tier of NYS has sadly thrived from the military industrial.  The tradition included IBM who before WWII involvement by the USA, collaborated with Hitler’s Nazi’s to computerize lists of German “undesirables”….AKA Jews.

Hitler’s Willing Business Partner  – IBM’s complicity with the Nazis is a reminder that people bear moral responsibility for the actions of the corporation&mdasha point that critics have failed to grasp.

IBM & “Death’s Calculator”– Der Führer’s obsession with Jewish destruction was hardly original. There had been czars and tyrants before him. But for the first time in history, an anti-Semite had automation on his side. Hitler didn’t do it alone. He had help.

Aah, the wonders of technology.  Let humanity and nature beware.  One wonders about star-struck youngsters as they view themselves as on a march in progress.  Define progress.

The Southern Tier of NYS, considering our background of embracing so-called progress, has become a hotbed of thinking Citizens.  Our politicians are not keeping up with We The People.

As they proclaim the dangers to law enforcement from We The People, they march in lock step with their orange leader who has promised to pardon the insurrectionists of 1/6 who attacked law enforcement.  To follow these confused self-recognized leaders may be a fools game.  Keep an eye on them.  Their MSM soundbites may not match their character.

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The man who is third in line to the presidency visited Binghamton today to raise money for Congressman Marc Molinaro and meet with members of regional law enforcement.

Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Mike Johnson of Louisiana met with local police to thank them for their efforts and pledge his support.

Numerous local police chiefs, including sheriffs from as far away as Columbia County, participated in the meet and greet hosted by Broome County Sheriff Fred Akshar.

Too many of our so-called Representatives of The People have defied our wish as stated by We The People, that we don’t accept genocide support by our government.  Their reason is the profiteering by American military contractors.  This would be a good topic of conversation, would you say?
