DEFINE PATRIARCHY

Anyone ready to rethink the excuse that “boys will be boys” long enough to consider it simple psychosis?

A NEW BUSINESS model for breaking down environmental movements was being hatched in real time. On Labor Day weekend in 2016, private security dogs in North Dakota attacked pipeline opponents led by members of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe as they approached earth-moving equipment. The tribal members considered the land sacred, and the heavy equipment was breaking ground to build the Dakota Access pipeline. With a major public relations crisis on its hands, the pipeline’s parent company, Energy Transfer, hired the firm TigerSwan to revamp its security strategy. The revelation of TigerSwan’s close working relationship with the National Sheriffs’ Association is drawn from more than 50,000 pages of documents obtained by The Intercept through a public records request to the North Dakota Private Investigation and Security Board. In 2017, the board sued TigerSwan for providing security services without a license. The state eventually sought a $2 million fine through the administrative process, but TigerSwan negotiated a $175,000 fine instead — well below standard fines for such activities.

Should law enforcement protect local community members?
The subtle character of patriarchal persuasion is often mandated in laws passed by legislators who hold office based upon campaign contributions from hierarchical capitalists. This may be harmful to humanity and nature. — https://popularresistance.org/its-time-for-cities-to-rethink-lawn-policy/ —
To slow the pace of extinctions and pull carbon from the sky, we need laws that incentivize replacement of grass with native plantings. We need yard reform, and we need it yesterday.
Illinois is not alone. Most states and cities have similar outdated laws and ordinances that actively discourage native plantings, although local native plant enthusiasts are working hard to rewrite these.

We can draw strength from those who seem balanced in patriarchal/matriarchal function, if we only have the insight to recognize them. –From lakotalaw——-To make the United States honor treaty law and shut down the Dakota Access pipeline (DAPL), Standing Rock and our allies are taking a long look at a new legal offensive based on the Bad Man (or Bad Men) Clause in the 1868 Treaty of Fort Laramie. Check out our blog, and at the top you’ll find the latest chapter of our Dakota Water Wars video series — co-produced as always by Lakota Law, Standing Rock, and the Great Plains Water Alliance — which takes you inside our recent strategy meeting at Standing Rock.
As you’re likely aware, DAPL parent company Energy Transfer has a terrible safety record. Today, we share with you testimony from me, Standing Rock Chairwoman Janet Alkire, Great Plains Tribal Water Alliance Director Doug Crow Ghost, and legal and technical experts. You’ll hear about Energy Transfer’s dangerous behavior, including 23 felony citations, and what we plan to do about it.
The clause states that when “bad men among the whites, or among other people subject to the authority of the United States” commit crimes against tribes or our property, the United States must take punitive action against the offenders. Energy Transfer definitely qualifies. To make things worse, DAPL currently operates without a workable emergency response plan in violation of the Clean Water Act, without an easement in violation of the Mineral Leasing Act, and without a valid Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) in violation of the National Environmental Policy Act.
The government should respect its own rules — including treaties, which are some of the original laws of this land. It’s time to hold Big Oil accountable and stop letting fossil fuel giants endanger our people and our world. Very soon now, after much delay, the Army Corps of Engineers will release DAPL’s deeply problematic EIS. They know that when they do, they’re going to hear from us en masse. Please be ready to act, because this fight isn’t over. Through the courts and public pressure, we can still beat the bad men at their own game.
Wopila tanka — thank you, always, for standing with us!

I especially recognize, support and appreciate the emphasis NYS Senator Lea Webb of District 52 places on reproductive freedom for women. This is a human right and a natural right. I don’t recognize or support lawmakers who choose to promote freedom for half the population only.
I believe Liz Cheney is anti-women’s reproductive freedom, yet she is an interesting politician based on her independent positions backed up by public expression.
One hopes Liz Cheney appreciates the same in others enough to honor democratic action.
A reason one would consider voting for Liz Cheney for President is her independence from Partisan capture; a mature stance yet to be internalized by some politicians. —
https://www.aol.com/news/liz-cheney-says-greene-lose-154445472.html –Former Rep. Liz Cheney said Thursday that GOP firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene should not have a security clearance after Greene defended the Air National Guardsman suspected of leaking a trove of classified documents.
–end of aol info————Having read somewhere that Marjorie Taylor Green defended the alleged leaker of Secret documents based on his traits of being a white male Christian, one finds this as nonsensical as the wholesale vote for Biden for President based upon a corporate-purchased Senator. This isn’t to cast aspersions on the leaker, about which topic one knowns nothing. This is a referral about partisan and inane politicians of which we have far too many.
Someone once said we need to judge people by the content of their character more than the color of their skin. A politician who judges by standards described by Marjorie Taylor Green may not have the judgement to retain security clearances in a very dangerous world.

As one who would be perfectly contented to retain the Senate if they adhered to Oaths of Office more than to Citizens United campaign donations, one is interested in a topic raised as to the reason we maintain the US Senate—-
