The topic of violence is loud today. Police states have been the characteristic of communist nations from capitalist nation perspectives. Recently people are dying in places that have typically been considered public in our nation.
Locally in Upstate NY some people have wondered at law enforcement who have expressed intention to disregard laws that attempt at gun control, but where law enforcement have shot gun toters.

Another law one believes was passed in the Southern Tier permitted arrest if the law enforcement felt uncomfortable with somebody’s bad attitude. One can’t find anything on this at the moment; perhaps wisdom meant the law wasn’t passed.
The overreach should be a topic of discussion.
As to the violence one is watching unfold across the nation, dare one mention a demographic that is ignored when rolling out the stats of the perpetrators? That would be predominately maleness of perpetrators.
And as law enforcement receives ever more military equipment to use against the public, perhaps law enforcement should also undergo drug testing, especially for steroids.
By the way, our politicians also should be drug tested. A few of them can be poster people for drug-abuse behavior. Rather than giving them personally more money, maybe we should ask questions.

Forgive me if I heard this wrong, but I believe I heard Eddie Glaude say yesterday, in reference to the disturbing FACT that 5 black officers are accused for a recent assault in Memphis, that black men also were involved in the beating of Emmett Till. If I got this wrong, please correct me. But if I got this right, one must point out that the recent and pointed outcry against a “white woman toward whom a whistle was aimed” that was blamed as the cause of death, is another instance of the millennia-old and ongoing expectation that the violence perpetrated by men are accomplished for the benefit of women.
And so as we hear the demographics as to age, skin color, etc., etc., we might investigate the problem with half the population. And so goes patriarchy.
Meanwhile women are in danger if they take a walk in the woods. This is wrong.

Howie Hawkins brings up the concept of whether the USA needs the Senate. Apparently according to some people, the Senate isn’t necessary. This brings up the blockage from the Senate of many bills that would benefit We The People. Combined with Citizens United that promotes big-money interest choice of Senators, in which laws are passed that benefit big-money interest rather than We The People, and that We The People support economically, the members of the Senate, this seems a good topic for discussion.
