PLAYING BOTH SIDES TO THE MIDDLE

Some people find positivity in speaking FACTS to power.  Systems for patriarchal hierarchical supremacy could stand to be examined.

Earthly Commons are defined as natural resources and absorbed into the profits game of hierarchical Establishment. Those who recognize nature as a Commons seem to be out of luck in the view of profiteering Establishment, when said people refrain from exploitation for self-promotion.  In other words, corruption pays.  That this isn’t illegal is a simple trick of legislation with laws passed by politicians bought into public office byway of Citizens United.https://countercurrents.org/2022/07/temperature-in-greenland-causes-unusual-extensive-melting-of-ice-sheet-boosts-sea-level/     –In Greenland, last weekend temperatures rose enough to cause 18 billion tons of the country’s ice sheet to melt over three days.

Scientists have warned about the fate of Greenland’s ice sheet.

Scientists say what happened between July 15 and 17 is the latest massive melting event contributing to an increase in the global sea level.

From AndrewYang.com  –This is a very exciting time for the Forward Party – we will be making a major announcement later this week!  It might even make history.
This week on the podcast I interview Matthew Hoh, the US Senate Candidate for the Green Party in North Carolina.  Matt recently made news because the Democratic Party kicked him off the ballot despite his submitting thousands more certified ballots than required.  Their reasoning?  “There could have been fraud,” despite there being no evidence.

Several ideas converge when listening to the news of the day.  First, please tolerate the following rerun of opinion, then followed by a connection—–

First rerun—

About 50 years ago, one was bored out of one’s mind by 2001:  A Space Odyssey.    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2001:_A_Space_Odyssey_(film)

After reading adulation about this movie recently, I decided to give the movie another try.  I am no movie critic, and I could be the only person on the face of the planet who feels the same, but the movie is horrible.  However, it did raise several thoughts.—-

*Space is big and empty

*Movies can romanticize space travel

*Something can go wrong very, very far from home

Another thought popped into my mind.  How would Earth’s star-struck oligarchs react in the immensity of space and so far from their money.  One believes the PR discussion from said oligarchs about colonizing space in their government/private partnership that will fund such projects, may be the family equivalent of giving the teen the keys to the family car based on childish whining.  But that’s just my imagination.  Let’s talk about it.

In other words childlike hubris we hear from said stalwart oligarchs, are a campaign to wheedle cash out of Mom and Dad for personal delight, ignoring the needs of the family.  Is there another example of such arrogant rhetoric?  Recently the reason to maintain legality of assault weapons and other firearms to be carried by gun-toters in public places is “the only way to stop a bad man with a gun is a good man with a gun”.

Recent and heart-breaking evidence testifies to what many people suspected.  In the face of an armed gunman, “good men with guns” may be no more reliable or courageous than a 10-year-old girl.

And by the way, why should the rest of the public be required to depend on personal assertion from a self-defined “good man with a gun” that he is actually good?

—-end of first rerun—-

Joyriding oligarchs have ‘splained away their thrills by saying the Earth may become uninhabitable.  No doubt…….Many of the reasons for Establishment Supremacy are sometimes ‘splained away by holding up the Bible.  Recently this has been used to ‘splain away a woman’s rights to her own body and privacy.

This acknowledgement of involvement in what some people call genocide is a long time arriving.   Still to be seriously touched upon is the reality of witch hunters supported by religious institution.         https://www.history.com/news/how-medieval-churches-used-witch-hunts-to-gain-more-followers                —

To bolster their point, the authors point out that from about 900 to 1400, the church didn’t want to acknowledge the existence of witches; and consequently, it didn’t try people for witchcraft. In 1258, Pope Alexander IV even prohibited the prosecution of witchcraft. Yet a few centuries later, the church reversed its decision. According to the economists, it was because of the Protestant Reformation.–end of history info–

Witch hunts were included in religious campaign strategy in what feels similar to Republican/Democratic duopoly campaign strategy.   One would prefer to refrain from associating issues of women’s rights with theology.  But this isn’t the only modern-day topic that has been used for political or personal promotion by Establishment.  It feels like the same patriarchal presumption that seems to found its right on theology, seem to await a rapture that patriarchy seems to need to hurry, when The Creator is slow to act, by using patriarchal hierarchical Establishment technology to assist the work of The Creator by flinging said oligarchs into space on a rocket.

Considering closely these positions, a disconnect between actions and presumption seem apparent.

Women still could benefit from acknowledgement of misogyny, by the way.

One supposes the gist of this string of coincidences is that the reality behind the PR is important.

****As one who would be perfectly contented to retain the Senate if they adhered to Oaths of Office more than to Citizens United campaign donations, one is interested in a topic raised as to the reason we maintain the US Senate—-
This is a reminder of how much we don’t know.  This brings one around to Howie Hawkins, who continues to impress with original thought.  We also could acknowledge Hawkins often speaks to censored information.
One such topic about which one would never have even considered, is whether the USA needs The Senate.  Apparently The Senate is little other than expensive window dressing, promoting hierarchical interests, and too often placed in positions of power by big-money via Citizens United.  But the public gets to fund this curiosity of pompous supremacy.  Who knew?
The Democratic Branch of the Republican/Democratic Duopoly are especially functional in voter suppression—–https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNbdkuU1edw          —#GreenSocialist Notes #76
Howie Hawkins brings up the concept of whether the USA needs the Senate.  Apparently according to some people, the Senate isn’t necessary.  This brings up the blockage from the Senate of many bills that would benefit We The People.  Combined with Citizens United that promotes big-money interest choice of Senators, in which laws are passed that benefit big-money interest rather than We The People, and that We The People support economically, the members of the Senate, this seems a good topic for discussion.
The US Constitution doesn’t seem to sanction elections run by political Parties, and to permit control of political debates by political Parties seems equally corrupt.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQ7kn2-GEmM       —

Centralization is the lifeblood of the R&D duopoly.  It’s the way to enforce capitalism onto workers in 2022.———————–We can do better———-

That “we are a 2-Party system” is a fabrication of the Republican/Democratic duopoly and spread by MSM.  In FACT the majority of voters aren’t either registered Democratic or Republican.  The censorship about this info must be envied by bureaucrats of the Former USSR and their simplistic style of 1-Party elections.
Regardless of which character sits in the Oval Office, We The People have work to do to maintain principles of our democratic (small d) Constitutional republic.  Several items to challenge—*We need the integrity of ranked-choice voting so voters won’t feel compelled to “hold your nose and vote”*Censored debates must be stopped.  The Democratic/Republican duopoly pretends to legitimate debates in what is nothing other than another campaign show.  Independent debates run by uninterested sponsors such as The League of Women Voters, must be restored.  (Access www.debates.org to understand the extent of duopoly control).  The so-called Debate Commission is a corporation to promote the Democratic corporation and Republican corporation, not to inform We The People*Challenge and stop gerrymandering that is a trick especially of the Republican branch of the duopoly.*Stop voter suppression by political Parties, and especially confront and stop Party suppression, which is the over-arching approach to voter suppression.  Party suppression seems to have been the responsibility of the Democratic corporation*Promote by law ranked-choice voting, so we won’t be told again, by D&R duopoly, to “hold your nose and vote”If these issues are handled, our next elections can be honorable. *******************************************************************https://news.gallup.com/poll/15370/party-affiliation.aspx—-Political Party affiliation of voters.

WITHDRAWS SUPPORT FROM FINAL PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE–end of lwv info–Murray Bookchin, who founded social ecology, a theory that strongly influenced early Green Socialist thought, strongly advocated the discussion and study group as the first step of any revolutionary movement. A group of individuals meets to expand their knowledge of radical thought and form a radical intellectual community; through the give and take of discussion, can eventually form ideas for next steps in organizing and political activity. According to Bookchin, study groups help create solidarity and a shared language — with a shared coherent vision — for building a mass, organizing, political movement!

Along with Climate Change, many people oppose the imperialism of the USA under control of the Republican/Democratic duopoly.  Use of the wealth of our nation should be to enhance quality of life for We The People rather than for imperialism.  Some people vote accordingly.
