BECAUSE IT TAKES THE PREDATOR OUT OF THE LOOP
Capitalism is promoted as the best system by those profiteering from the model. Capitalism is all about the middleman and the profit he can secure while manipulating worker and consumer.
The same conundrum has surfaced in NYS regarding farm workers. In a capitalistic system, a quasi-servitude style of worker employment seems required in order that business owners rake in profits to justify the business. Especially considering lawmakers are paid by business owners to pass laws in compliance with capitalistic theory, (Citizens United) servitude is the acceptable labor system. This is brushing up against human rights violations. As to the goat herders in California, the same is FACTual of farm workers in NYS. If left to natural free-market and familial principles, a family enterprise including children would encourage self-employment and inclusion of children as workers. The benefits are self-reliance and the raising of children into adults who are capable of understanding finances on a personal level, a work ethic that is realistic, self-confidence, and ability to go forth as an entrepreneur. The drawback to a capitalistic system may be youngsters comfortable in self reliance and autonomy who aren’t dependent upon indoctrination via institutions of higher learning, and without the absurd level of debt incurred by such youngsters to purchase said indoctrination…AKA degrees from institutions of higher learning.
——–https://www.aol.com/finance/no-kidding-california-overtime-law-101012392.html –Companies have historically been allowed to pay goat and sheepherders a monthly minimum salary rather than an hourly minimum wage, because their jobs require them to be on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. But legislation signed in 2016 also entitles them to overtime pay. It effectively boosted the herders’ minimum monthly pay from $1,955 in 2019 to $3,730 this year. It’s set to hit $4,381 in 2025, according to the California Department of Industrial Relations.

If the notion of a family-run business with inclusion of children is not acceptable, what about worker-owned business models? This would solve the problem experienced in California on the topic of goat herders.
If family business models have been trained out of American thought, surely worker-owned business models could still be tried. Regenerative farming seems a great place to start. No employees, no labor laws. Free market principles could be honored. Profits could be secured to the earners. — https://www.treehugger.com/regenerative-farming-small-scale-7504252?hid=4246be665c7c525806e26d15079d974213d256e7&did=9271914-20230531&utm_source=treehugger&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=treehugger-daily_newsletter&utm_content=053123&lctg=4246be665c7c525806e26d15079d974213d256e7 —Smallholders, homesteaders, hobby farmers, and other small-scale growers can use regenerative farming techniques to ensure growing sustainably for years to come.

Personally domestic violence was the motivator out of a shell. The world that unfolded over decades, was unimaginable in 1970. The possibilities were unknowable. The terror of the time could have motivated or buried.
The same is true of a nation, politically.

Our Greatest Fear —Marianne Williamson
it is our light not our darkness that most frightens us
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.
—Marianne Williamson

Buddhism tells little to nothing about sin, but a precept of Buddhism confronts the delusion that one is not worthy of ability to overcome shortcoming. Those raised in a system that profits from human insecurity, this is indeed a barrier to growth and self-fulfillment.
An example of said barrier imposed by hierarchy, ladies, is the concept that a woman must “act” like a lady. Alternatively, stop acting. You’re good enough as you are.
