CONFIDENCE IN ELECTIONS
Voter turn-out has decreased due to lies and lack of choice. To be aware of the reason for disillusionment by the individual voter, is the first step toward invigorating excitement among the electorate for free, clean, and fair elections in which the electorate can be confident—
https://www.counterpunch.org/2020/09/18/are-environmentalists-too-compromised-to-fight-for-real-solutions/——-A group of aging environmentalists is out with an Open Letter telling people: Don’t vote for the Green Party. As the aging environmentalist who is the Green Party candidate for president, let me respond. The role of the environmental movement should be to make its demands on every candidate, not make compromises to provide cover for a candidate like Biden with a feeble environmental record and platform. By settling for Biden without making any demands or getting any commitments, they have given away their power. As President, Biden will ignore them because they settled for nothing.Black voter suppression, not the Greens, elected Bush and TrumpPunching down and to their left at the Green Party, the Open Letter blames Green presidential candidates Ralph Nader for electing Bush in 2000 and Jill Stein for electing Trump in 2016. It’s the same scare-mongering smear we hear every election.—Instead, Democrats work to keep the Green Party of the Electoral College off the ballot.
Party suppression is a form of voter suppressionThe same day that this Open Letter was released, the Wisconsin Supreme Court suppressed the Green Party, which has had its presidential ticket on the ballot in Wisconsin in every election since 1996. Democrats challenged the Green ballot access petition. The Democratic members of the Wisconsin Elections Commission blocked the Greens from presenting their documentation that they had met all the ballot access requirements in the hearing on the challenge. The review of the facts and the law in the dissenting court opinions show that the Greens were undoubtedly ballot qualified. But the majority of the court disregarded the merits of the case in order to end the delay in the mailing of absentee ballots that the Democrats’ anti-democratic actions had precipitated.

The Republican/Democratic duopoly are less political Parties and more nearly corporate entities to sideline the electorate—https://portside.org/2020-09-19/hold-line-guide-defending-democracy–A successful election is one that is:
- Free, in which all eligible voters are able to vote without hindrance, interference, or intimidation.
- Fair, in which all votes are counted transparently, non-partisan rules and laws are followed, and any disputes are resolved without bias towards any particular candidate.
- Respected, by which the loser of the election accepts the results, concedes, and engages in a good faith transition process to the election’s winner.
- Safe, in which risks of COVID-19 transmission and political violence are minimized.
The United States has hundreds of years of experience in election administration, so you would think we would have a robust process and institutions to ensure our elections are successful. However,–end of portside info–The devil is in the “However”, isn’t it? The US Constitution seems to support elections of, by and for The People rather than elections occupied by 2 political Parties that censor all others. In FACT the USA is not a “2-Party system”, except in the propaganda by cable channel news Shows and the Democratic/Republican duopoly. Debates should not be owned by the Republican/Democratic duopoly, as it is in 2020, and broadcast via cable channel entertainment Shows that use the idea of news as a bait-and-switch come on.
The Supreme Court decision called Citizens United legalized fraud in elections as money has been curiously labeled speech, and which funding is used to deny Free Speech by exclusion in debates. To see the list of Board Members who run political debates, access www.debates.org.
How many would argue of the impossibility of American Climate Change refugees?—-https://portside.org/2020-09-19/climate-crisis-will-force-new-american-migration-much-us-becomes-uninhabitable–For years, Americans have avoided confronting these changes in their own backyards. The decisions we make about where to live are distorted not just by politics that play down climate risks, but also by expensive subsidies and incentives aimed at defying nature. In much of the developing world, vulnerable people will attempt to flee the emerging perils of global warming, seeking cooler temperatures, more fresh water and safety. But here in the United States, people have largely gravitated toward environmental danger, building along coastlines from New Jersey to Florida and settling across the cloudless deserts of the Southwest.

Can one imagine a system of education that included FACTS rather than, as AG William Barr giggles, “the history as written by the winners. The 2 youtube informational presentations above await challenge by Common-Core style educators. This would seem logical unless the education from Common-Core educators is in FACT propaganda intended to produce compliant workers for capitalism rather than a citizenry armed with the knowledge and ability to self-govern.

The same choices are required by voters who can continue to “hold their nose and vote” into public office, lies, or voters capable of independent and informed choices for leaders who deal in reality rather than Show.
Meanwhile, Trump is proposing a so-labeled “patriotic” curriculum of education, which seems quite similar to Common-Core education, of teaching into compliance and obedience to the capitalistic hierarchical Establishment service.

**************************************As a Green Party registered voter routinely, one re-registers every 4 years into the Democratic Party to be able to cast a vote in the Democratic Primary for Bernie Sanders. One is positive one is not alone in doing so.Lost in the fog of political corruption over several decades, is the fact that the Presidential debates were once in the capable hands of the League of Women Voters—-https://www.lwv.org/newsroom/press-releases/league-refuses-help-perpetrate-fraud—-Most objectionable to the League, Neuman said, were conditions in the agreement that gave the campaigns unprecedented control over the proceedings. Neuman called “outrageous” the campaigns’ demands that they control the selection of questioners, the composition of the audience, hall access for the press and other issues.”The campaigns’ agreement is a closed-door masterpiece,” Neuman said. “Never in the history of the League of Women Voters have two candidates’ organizations come to us with such stringent, unyielding and self-serving demands.”Neuman said she and the League regretted that the American people have had no real opportunities to judge the presidential nominees outside of campaign-controlled environments.—-end of lwv info—In other words, (paraphrase) patriarchy says, “we’ll handle it from here, little ladies”—https://straty.com/controlling-outcomes-controlling-table-stakes/—After studying the election process in 1985, the bipartisan National Commission on Elections recommended “turning over the sponsorship of Presidential debates to the two major parties”. The commission was staffed by members from the two parties and chaired by the heads of the Democratic and Republican parties… (wikipedia)
—end of straty info—https://www.debates.org/—The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) was established in 1987 to ensure, for the benefit of the American electorate, that general election debates between or among the leading candidates for the offices of President and Vice President of the United States are a permanent part of the electoral process. CPD’s primary purpose is to sponsor and produce the quadrennial general election debates and to undertake research and educational activities relating to the debates. The organization, which is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) corporation, sponsored all of the presidential debates in 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016
—end of debates info—The Commission on Presidential Debates, replacing the League of Women Voters, controls who can debate and on which topics. They call this educating the public, others may see this as brainwashing. The CPD would profit by hearing from We The People, as to concerns about censorship. The censorship seems to have become so blatant, that petitions to the CPD have reached into the hundreds of thousands. This means We The People have nothing to say in our own governance.Consider the large number of voters who do not embrace the policies of either of the Democratic Establishment or Republican Establishment, and the fact that the Democratic Establishment and Republican Establishment have swindled the American electorate out of unbiased information directly from possible Presidential choices; often outside of the Capitalist Party D&R. Since these disgusting events in the ’80’s, state-run/corporate-owned MSM has consistently indoctrinated We The People into accepting the falsehood that “we are a 2-Party system”. This has had the effect of rending illegitimate, the deeply legitimate tradition of free, clean, and fair elections.
In other words, politicians are now choosing their voters, rather than voters choosing their politicians.
Acting on the human frailty of ignorance combined with arrogance, and using as an example the Democratic Establishment, one recognizes what is called a Democratic Base that believes in their right to dictate to others, their voting choices. —–https://www.haudenosauneeconfederacy.com/influence-on-democracy/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pIDtvTydkU&t=638s
