ABUSE OF POWER

Some people who are interested in assessing the integrity of the 2022 Supreme Court decisions may have reason to check into the actual policies of The Founders, especially since the current Supreme Court uses notions of attempts to follow the precepts with which the current Supreme Court paints The Founders, aside from using actual words and cases that can be found from The Founders.  The modern-day Supreme Court is probably less corrupt and more ignorant, may be suggested.  Alternatively the current Supreme Court may be both ignorant and corrupt.

Consider The sticky issue of separation of church and state, for example.https://www.mtsu.edu/first-amendment/article/1220/james-madison      –He then served in the Virginia Assembly, where, in 1785, he produced his first great political pamphlet, the “Memorial and Remonstrance against Religious Assessments.” The target of the pamphlet was a bill before the Virginia Assembly supported by Gov. Patrick Henry that would have laid a general tax to pay Christian teachers a modest salary. The bill would not have established any one denomination (all Christian churches were eligible for the funds), but it would have made Christianity the established religion of the state.

Madison considered the bill a “dangerous abuse of power”; he reasoned that if government could establish Christianity over other religions, then it would also have the power to elevate one Christian group over another. Madison believed that religion was a matter of individual conscience and that giving legislators control over religious belief would inevitably lead to violation of other basic rights: “It is proper to take alarm at the first experiment on our liberties.” Madison succeeded in defeating the religious assessment bill and then spearheaded passage, in 1786, of Thomas Jefferson’s Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom.–end of mtsu.edu info—

This seems to touch upon presumptions by many people on the topic of a woman’s right to choose, that are so often described in terms friendly to religious institutions that have in FACT chosen one religion in particular as the guide.

Quite bluntly, the Democratic/Republican duopoly which is corporate personified and has no legitimacy in running American elections, have split the nation by color and each branch has convinced their color that the only way to promote interests of that color, which at heart are the same interests as the other color, is to vote for either the Democratic branch or Republican branch, respectively.  The benefit to the Republican/Democratic duopoly corporations is that issues and policies needn’t be discussed or acted upon, as each “team” waves their personal metaphorical color flag.

You can put a political label on that if you want, but it is just called being human. Again, would you rather simply gain concessions or fight for the humanity of Black people vis-à-vis all people?

A view of lack of common memory in the USA suggests an opportunity for inclusion and sharing of cultural excellence.  Instead and one believes due to corruption based on capitalism which is nothing if not about money and privilege, has sold ideals about the USA that are absurd and incorrect, yet labeled as “exceptional”, for ease of pandering into compliance those also labeled as and functioning in consumers, when a more thoughtful public would prefer the dignity of acting as citizens.

Some people have been concerned about the environment for quite some time.  Climate Change is a predictable result of predatory extraction of natural resources, and the use thereof.  To strive for a planet upon which humanity and wildlife can live in a healthy manner, is separate from exploitation for profit.  C-Span hosted a discussion from an author selling his book.  https://www.c-span.org/video/?521444-5/washington-journal-bob-keefe-discusses-climate-policy-book-climatenomics           –JULY 5, 2022  | PART OF WASHINGTON JOURNAL 07/05/2022

Bob Keefe on Climatenomics and Climate Policy

9:15AM–guest—paraphrase–The environmental calamities are no longer just about nature, humanity, etc., etc.,……but is now about economics.

Bob Keefe spoke of an “entrepreneurial” group of which he is a member who, now that money can be made, (still paraphrase), said group will be willing to challenge Climate Change (still paraphrase), now that profits can be extracted from (still paraphrase) environmental disasters that seem to be Climate-Disaster profiteering (still paraphrase).  Tune in to C-Span where the actual staging by Bob Keefe can be heard.

Some people recognize as corruption, systems that take action only when profiteering for hierarchy can happen. Another example is the American profiteering health disease industry that makes money on disease but not on good health.  This is an extraordinarily expensive system for the general public with evidence of deteriorating health-care results and a looming mortality increase.

Laws are enacted to promote this system based on profiteering, by politicians bought into public office byway of Citizens United, which has legalized without legitimizing corruption in our electoral process.

****As one who would be perfectly contented to retain the Senate if they adhered to Oaths of Office more than to Citizens United campaign donations, one is interested in a topic raised as to the reason we maintain the US Senate—-

This is a reminder of how much we don’t know.  This brings one around to Howie Hawkins, who continues to impress with original thought.  We also could acknowledge Hawkins often speaks to censored information.

One such topic about which one would never have even considered, is whether the USA needs The Senate.  Apparently The Senate is little other than expensive window dressing, promoting hierarchical interests, and too often placed in positions of power by big-money via Citizens United.  But the public gets to fund this curiosity of pompous supremacy.  Who knew?

The Democratic Branch of the Republican/Democratic Duopoly are especially functional in voter suppression—–https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNbdkuU1edw          —#GreenSocialist Notes #76

Howie Hawkins brings up the concept of whether the USA needs the Senate.  Apparently according to some people, the Senate isn’t necessary.  This brings up the blockage from the Senate of many bills that would benefit We The People.  Combined with Citizens United that promotes big-money interest choice of Senators, in which laws are passed that benefit big-money interest rather than We The People, and that We The People support economically, the members of the Senate, this seems a good topic for discussion.

The US Constitution doesn’t seem to sanction elections run by political Parties, and to permit control of political debates by political Parties seems equally corrupt.

That “we are a 2-Party system” is a fabrication of the Republican/Democratic duopoly and spread by MSM.  In FACT the majority of voters aren’t either registered Democratic or Republican.  The censorship about this info must be envied by bureaucrats of the Former USSR and their simplistic style of 1-Party elections.

WITHDRAWS SUPPORT FROM FINAL PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE–end of lwv info–Murray Bookchin, who founded social ecology, a theory that strongly influenced early Green Socialist thought, strongly advocated the discussion and study group as the first step of any revolutionary movement. A group of individuals meets to expand their knowledge of radical thought and form a radical intellectual community; through the give and take of discussion, can eventually form ideas for next steps in organizing and political activity. According to Bookchin, study groups help create solidarity and a shared language — with a shared coherent vision — for building a mass, organizing, political movement!
Along with Climate Change, many people oppose the imperialism of the USA under control of the Republican/Democratic duopoly.  Use of the wealth of our nation should be to enhance quality of life for We The People rather than for imperialism.  Some people vote accordingly.I———————–That “we are a 2-Party system” is a fabrication of the Republican/Democratic duopoly and spread by MSM.  In FACT the majority of voters aren’t either registered Democratic or Republican.  The censorship about this info must be envied by bureaucrats of the Former USSR and their simplistic style of 1-Party elections.
