THE “F” WORD
One hears hierarchical characters such as the President and corporate-owned-politically-influenced MSM warn Americans against fascism. One wonders where the warnings were about predatory capitalism that on a continuum seems to follow one of 2 paths; either fascism or organized crime. Which system under which we suffer should be the conversation.
IDENTIFY THE THREAT
Complexity on a topic is recognized by some people at the same time another group will see none. Centralization that also can be found in globalism mean hierarchical personalities set a standard to which a very diverse public is required to meet. To meet this arbitrary standard may not produce a healthy society.
CRITICAL CROSSROAD
In one person’s view, the same oligarchy that thrives by dividing Americans does the same around the globe. The US Constitution doesn’t include requirement that the USA police foreign nations, nor that we support an oligarchy. Who can say in the USA of 2022, that we are not an oligarchy? A symptom is the deep division that surely is promoted by a Democratic/Republican duopoly that has been buoyed into power byway of big-money campaign donations legalized without being legitimized by the Citizens United decision by a highly questionable Supreme Court.
WHOSE LIFE IS IT?
Parents seem deprived of the natural right to raise their own children in the manner they choose by a system that has become curiously totalitarian as applied to education. This may set the mood for parental over reaction in self defense. At the same time, one cannot imagine a better opportunity for parents to open discussion with their children after a topic is raised that may be uncomfortable to both. That seems more of an opportunity for parents than a harm to children. That our educational system seems used as a babysitting service for the convenience of commercial Establishment to promote a progress based on greed, privilege, and exploitation seems to expose a broader problem.
THIS IS CAPITALISM
Apparently Marjorie Taylor Greene has been denied access to something or other. Whatever her problem, she is barred from a private enterprise outlet. Private enterprise has the right to run their business according to their personal policies. This is the reason employers can mandate, for example, dress codes and masks. Some private corporations even mandate a woman’s health-care coverage access to birth control.
SACRED POLITICS
The guest of Russell Brand seems to make the connection between the sacred which must be eternal, and attempts by political ideology that attempts to own the same.
IF THE RIVER IS SAFE
We can start by ensuring the health of our river system around the globe. Respect for this fundamental natural system will enhance the life of people and wildlife.
FOG OF IDEOLOGY
Some people have noticed a use of the public educational system in a common-core style that is used to produce enthusiastic consumers and compliant workers for our capitalistic system. An educational system dedicated to producing self-reliant, informed, and active citizens capable of self governing would be better suited to our democratic (small d) Constitutional republic. Aside from civic issues surrounding this modern type of education is the effect on families. Something has changed dramatically over decades that is manifesting uncomfortably today. A local system very recently seems to consider a new normal of inviting parents back into the educational system. Since law enforcement stationed in schools doesn’t seem to work, parents may be the last resort.
LOCAL POLITICS
The earned attention on Federal politics comes at the cost of attention taken away from local politics. Many actions of local politicians are so scattered and under reported and seldom seriously challenged as to support a quasi fiefdom. The work of local politicians should be to promote the interests of a majority of residents within their district. Many examples abound, for example in the Southern Tier of NYS, of promotion of big-money interests at the expense of local residents. Draining money from local communities and toward interests outside of our region is poor governance.
HEALTH AS PERTAINS TO PEOPLE OR CAPITALISM?
The topic this morning on C-Span probably effects most people in the USA. The disappearance of so-called middle class jobs happened after chain stores had obliterated locally owned small businesses. Any politician who couldn’t connect the dots didn’t deserve to be in office due to ignorance. But that so many politicians have become wealthy during this era seems to confirm corruption. The worship of Reagan, then Obama, then Trump, seems to be the story of withering compliance and enabling by the general public.
POLITICAL MONOPOLY
Will bureaucrats and politicians use the 2nd Amendment to quell the 1st Amendment?—
BELIEVE YOUR OWN EYES
On 12/12/2021 the following discussion was hosted on C-Span. The guest expressed the FACT that inordinate amount of funding from the US government is transferred to the Pentagon when the funding could be used to promote the well-being of We The People. A caller promptly phoned in to say Ms. Vlahos was “stating the obvious, in a manner that implied the obvious shouldn’t be spoken.
DON’T LET BUREAUCRATS DO YOUR DEMOCRACY
Once again a caller to C-Span reminded us that “we are not a democracy, we are a Constitutional republic”. We might recall we also are not capitalistic, we are a Constitutional republic. But as to democracy, as heard on a Bill Moyers discussion, “governments don’t do democracy, people do democracy”. In the same character of indoctrination, socialism has been belied as contrary to democracy when it may in FACT be a definition of democracy. Americans have been self-deluded by the pandering by capitalistic-supporting politicians that we are “exceptional” when the USA may not even be noteworthy among functioning democracies around the world. We are, however, showing signs of fascism.
THE STRENGTH OF NATIVE
The incredible diversity of species found in the American woods is easy to overlook, but incalculably delightful and important.
WHO ENACTS DEMOCRACY?
If democracy is backsliding in the USA as is reported, a reason may be the hierarchical indoctrination of We The People into compliance to authority. We are repeatedly reminded that the USA “isn’t a democracy”, we are a Constitutional republic. Of interest is the FACT that governments don’t do democracy, people do democracy, as heard on a Bill Moyers conversation. Our public educational system has been tortured into a training to be compliant consumers and economic units in a system that panders to the 1%. This seems tyrannical.
